Re: Grocery and related home delivery during COVID-19

I had the same issue, so called their customer service. The reply was: for any purchase more than 14 days away the payment must be through invoicing. BUT "the option "invoice" is not available for those who have no credit history with leshop" as you never used the service before..."
All the arguments related to me being the long-term Cumulus member brought me nowhere...
Back to COOP now. Anybody could give a tip what time of the day they add new delivery slots? thanks in advance

Re: Grocery and related home delivery during COVID-19

Apparently Coop is rolling out some service where you can order from a selection of popular products, all non refrigerated, and sent via post.

On the other hand, I went to the store on Tuesday. It was not crowded and they had everything I wanted but yeast.

And then, at 0:05 this morning, I could get a delivery slot for next Saturday. Unfortunately, everything I wanted was unavailable.

The site won't accept payment by credit card if the order is placed more than 14 days in advance of the delivery date. I've saved my shopping basket and have no problem getting delivery dates just after midnight, just had delivery date of 23 April on the screen, but am unable to complete the payment.

Exactly!

Re: Grocery and related home delivery during COVID-19

Regarding the 'Top 100' with Coop; I've noticed that if you log in, set up a list and 'wait' until new delivery times are available; when you log in to check on the status, the 'pop up window' will allow you to choose between the 'Top 100' and 'Standard Assortment'.

So far in my experience, regardless of which you choose (example even if you have a list from the Top 100 already), the website will erase your previous list and you have to start over again.

Hope this helps someone.

Cheers,

No idea about that but the minimum order is still 100chf and I’d have a hard time finding 100chf worth of stuff from their top 100.

I think I prefer the Waitrose list of essentials, including:

Tinned artichoke hearts.
Cambozola.
Home Ripening Mangoes.
Houmous.
Quark.
Parmigiano Reggiano.
Halloumi
Blueberries
Baby avocados
Passata
Coconut milk
Green pitted olives
Limoncello dessert
Mountain Blend ground coffee
Sweet potatoes
Balsamic vinegar
Ardennes coarse pork liver pâté

Thanks for the link. It's really good and I could easily fulfill the minimum spend requirement. As I'm not the category of person they're aiming the service towards (thankfully), I won't be placing an order. Anyway, I find it reassuring to schlep into my local branch and see that all the usual staff are still there working hard.

Re: Grocery and related home delivery during COVID-19

Must admit that Parmigiano, Halloumi, avocados, Passata, pitted olives and Balsamic are considered store cupboard staples in our house

Anyway... For all the coffee lovers out there, Tchibo are delivering within 10-14 days at present, so I've ordered 3mths worth of coffee and their Brotbackschale to save space, since OH is using the kitchen table as his home office.

I've never used home delivery for groceries and don't see the point if you've got the time and are physically able to visit a supermarket. Why not do that and open up slots for those that are elderly, sick, housebound etc..

The current measures e.g. limiting numbers, social distancing and spraying the hands of customers are all good ones and shouldn't mean we'd be less safe than if we all ordered online.
I can tell you why; I have to walk 20~25mn to the supermarket or take the bus (bus stop is 8mn away and I have to pay for the service), so home delivery is a great option.
of course for the moment it's not possible

It took an inordinate amount of patience and perseverance but I did eventually manage to get a delivery slot for April 9th with coop.
Did credit card work for you on coopathome? When I click the button to post an order it freezes for half a minute and then it shows server error page. And then I get SMS from my bank that the money was charged from my credit card, though an order was not created and the shopping cart is still full. After several tries I had to select bank payment instead of credit cart.

Re: Grocery and related home delivery during COVID-19

I didn't read through the whole thread and if it's been mentioned and discussed already, then just disregard.

Anyone who wants or has to stay home could consider the following:

Migros has an app called Amigos where you can submit a shopping list. Helpers can say within what area they are willing to do shopping and delivery and get assigned new orders. It's possible to decline an order if unable to make it.

I have done this a few times this week and it's worked well - I get a notification the day before and a timeframe for delivery (several hours), along with a detailed shopping list with pictures, I pick it all up, bring it by, done. The money gets reimbursed within a day, and there's a small tip (5 bucks or so).

Quite the efficient solution I find

Hey, the website says it is for: "This ordering option is intended primarily for the following people: People aged 65 or older, customers with an existing health condition or persons who are currently ill, in quarantine or in self-isolation."

Are all of us in self-isolation? Is it OK to order from this if we are not 65+ or ill?

Thanks,

Re: Grocery and related home delivery during COVID-19

On March 26 I was able to snag a slot in LeShop for April 16. I realized afterward that I forgot a few things. I understand that you can't delete anything on an order in process. However, LeShop says that you can add things. Only I can't figure out how to do it. Any additions I make end up in a new basket instead of my existing order.

Has anyone done this successfully, and could you tell me how you did it?

Thanks!

They have temporarily removed the ability to add things to an order due to the Covid19 induced overload of the system.

Re: Grocery and related home delivery during COVID-19

Smood.ch offers delivery of some 6000 Migros products the same day (essentially as if they were doing restaurant delivery) in the Geneva area. There's no 100 CHF minimum spend but delivery cost is 11.95, so it's worth making a decent size caddy. For me the good news is that I don't have to wait 2 weeks for a delivery slot.
