| | Where to buy dry Fava Beans (Fuul)?
As the weather cools down, I start to think about preparing a classic Middle Eastern dish of fuul - slow cooked fava beans that have been soaked during the day and then simmered overnight with allspice, garlic, parsley and olive oil then drained, mashed coarsely with a clove of garlic and then seasoned with salt and lemon juice.
Scooped up with pieces of fresh Lebanese bread with sides of whole boiled eggs, olives, cut tomatoes and cukes. Yum.
But where to find dried fava beans? Amazon and local stores don't stock such beans and I've had a look in Leclerc and Carrefour without luck.
Anyone know of possible suppliers in Geneva?

There are several middle easter shops in Geneva, I am quite sure you will find them there.

I found some at Lyzamir but the quality was so-so and they looked pretty old. I'll report back once I've found some good ones.
Next stop will be Ferney-Voltaire.

Soo many stores to choose from. I remember being surprised to even find an Arab or Middle Eastern store in the middle of the Grisons in a small town

Or in health stores maybe ?
I like them with bacon for breakfast , as you get in the south of France and in rural Catalonia .
Or as tapas with snails ....
I‘m hungry for then already

They came in a sizzling hot pan with lots & lots of garlic. Cant say I will eat them again, its not the taste , but more the thought of what it is I am actually eating | This user would like to thank Sigh for this useful post: | |

Smallish, light coloured beans from Lebanon but made an excellent ful/fuul.
