Listeria - Product recalls

01/07/2021 - Product recalls
Migros is recalling seven salads with corn
Zurich - An internal check revealed pathogenic Listeria in the maize used. A health risk cannot be ruled out. Migros asks its customers not to consume these products.

Same for Lidl

Aldi

"The three Aldi articles Fresh Cut Family Salad, Fresh Cut Salad Cup Vegetarian and Fresh Cut Ultra-Fresh Salads (sausage-cheese variety) were recalled throughout Switzerland for reasons of precautionary consumer protection. The products relate to the best before dates from January 6th to 10th, 2021. Internal controls have shown Listeria on some of these products, it said."

Denner also recalls some salads

Re: Listeria - Product recalls

The products all come from a single source, as the recall shows. They are manufactured by Josef Müller Gemüse AG from Hünenberg ZG. The company is one of the largest producer of ready-made salads. Tens of thousands of heads of lettuce are processed, mixed and packaged here.

Same corn, different price
The recall campaign also shows: The dealers sell almost identical products at very different prices. Take Migros, for example: The recalled M-Budget salad costs 71 cents per 100 grams, while the products from “Anna's Best” double that and more. The corn in the two products is the same.
