As much as I would love things to be a bit more normal and be able to go to a restaurant or café again this is really not the right way for them to go about things.

All that trouble and strife and do you know what she served up before she was shut down for the day?
Hörnli Ghacktes (minced meat with macroni pasta)
Don't know why she bothered.

This seems to underscore a real problem, so why is the bureaucracy trundling along so slowly? | Quote: | | | | The Federal Council has earmarked 2.5 billion francs to help businesses most affected by closings. However, often no money is paid out because the examination of the applications is a slow process.
Industry federation GastroSuisse warned on Sunday that without significant financial support, around half of businesses in the restauration and hospitality sector could go belly-up by the end of March.
The group polled around 4,000 restaurant and hotel owners, and determined that 98 percent of them already are in urgent need of financial support. | | | | | | The following 2 users would like to thank Castro for this useful post: | |

If you want to support your local restaurants - and that is something those who can should do during this difficult time - order takeaway, if possible with the same regularity you would have eaten at the restaurant in the 'before times'.
Even my favorite gourmet restaurant is offering takeaway. The world may have turned upside down, but I can still get my truffle fix.
You can help local businesses stay in business and do your bit to keep yourself and others safe at the same time.

Exactly meloncollie....
I am super excited about my Michelin star dinner delivery coming on Friday. 1x per week one of the best restaurants in town delivers a dinner where the majority of the proceeds go to the local suppliers who are also struggling during this time.

One acquaintance had to support his boss to apply for kurzarbeit last April because the small business owner (3 employees) was clueless. All the idiot could do was rant instead of focusing the energy on survival. Sometimes you wonder how such business were not already bankrupt before the virus.

And Tom groans for that, tongue and cheek joke. How sad.
So it is a pact then- between you and FMF- let's groan every single post, come rain or shine, 'that will learn her'. Honestly? But be my guest, if it helps you in this life- be my guest.
