Asian cuisine near Zurich?

Looking for more true flavors, donít dare say authentic, foods from Asia. More comfort food style... VN pho, Thai eggplant/basil, JP ramen, etc... We are 45 minutes train from Zurich but willing to travel.

Re: Asian cuisine near Zurich?

Yume ramen is authentic Japanese ramen. It's 3 times the price of what it would cost in Japan, but it's proper ramen, yummy!

Samurai II is known for great sushi (Japanese chef and service staff too), but they have a lovely authentic every-day kind of dishes. Have a look at their menu.

Bimi. Also Japanese-owned (same owners as the Japanese supermarket Nishi). Tastes exactly like back home. Just more pricey than the above two.

All of these places are easily reachable from HB. I can only speak for Japanese food for authenticity, but the above three places many of us Japanese go there. One place we definitely stay away from is Yooji's!

My absolute favourites are A-Hua (Thai, Brauerstrasse 9, Langstrasse area) and Beyond (Chinese/Sichuan, Zollstrasse, near Hotel Montana). I enjoy the Sichuan Hot Pot and Bibimbap at Hotpot. Pretty darn authentic but perhaps not perfect.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, Misoga is a great Korean place and Sala of Tokyo (not casual/comfort though).

Really great Vietnamese ist Co Chin Chin - and everything is MSG free! When the restaurants open again, you need to reserve at least a week in advance. Otherwise take-away.
