| | KFC in Chur
To all KFC lovers ( LIB still around?) KFC did open a branch in Chur Google translated 20 min article | Quote: | | | | On Wednesday KFC opens a branch in Chur.
For the first 20 guests there are vouchers worth CHF 1040 each.
Apparently some young people spent the night before the opening in front of the restaurant. | | | | | And I missed this one earlier report on 20min (google translated) KFC plans to open 41 branches

I drive past the local PFK twice daily.
Never been in it, never will.

Dunno what PKF is - but if it's anything like the colonel's offering, I would join your hesitancy to drop in | This user would like to thank LtSoftDrink for this useful post:

When a KFC first opened near us in Volketswil a few years ago, the place was completely packed for about six months. There were even long lines that went all the way outside of the building, into the parking lot.
I find it so bizarre that so many people here love KFC so much. Where I come from (in the US), KFC is basically considered "ghetto food." But people here act like it's gourmet. | The following 6 users would like to thank Pancakes for this useful post:

Either that or the Swiss-Germans are just not so sophisticated as they like to think they are in their food of choice.

We've just had one open in Collombey as well, right on a major roundabout at the shopping area closest to the motorway junction, to attract passing trade, presumably. There's a McD opposite, but it I fancy something to eat when passing I'm grateful that there's also the Coop Pronto petrol station (and others) where I can at least go for a half-decent, albeit overpriced, sandwich.

Neither do they OCD on it, which together with frequent crudites keeps them slim. So, non-judgmental and slim. Nobody considers it gourmet. I am craving a bit of their quesadilla, yum.
I am sure LIB knows, OP.

It's probably priced here like gourmet food.

To be fair, the Swiss do like their roasted chicken, which is why many of those chicken food trucks do so well.

I was there yesterday around 3pm. Walked straight in an found a couple of self order screens available. Fast service and the restaurant actually looks nice. When I walked out there was a sudden queue of about 20 people.
It is right opposite Migros Sport xx who seems to have placed some display camping tents right opposite the entrance. Must credit their marketing savvy |

You must have something really attractive about yourself, that so many people so quickly wanted to follow your example. | This user would like to thank doropfiz for this useful post:
