Vegan Swiss Chocolate?

Anyone with first-hand experience/opinions about which vegan chocolate is 'the best' or at least pretty darn good? And where can I buy it before Saturday morning?

Swiss chocolatiers if at all possible!

TIA.

Re: Vegan Swiss Chocolate?

I like the very dark Lindt chocolates, they're dark and bitter but still smooth and a little sweet.

The darkest ones are supposedly vegan, although that's irrelevant to me.

Re: Vegan Swiss Chocolate?

Coop Karma line is pretty good, especially their dark chocolate salted caramel truffles/pralines. But not exactly artisanal :P

Re: Vegan Swiss Chocolate?

I remember seeing a rainbow colored package in the fridge at my ex-office. I thought, if they have LGBT-friendly chocolate, they MUST have vegan chocolate.....bingo!

Taucherli Schoggi
https://taucherli.com/product-category/vegan/

Only tasted the darker ones. Quite good if you're into low sugar chocolate.

This looks like an excellent fit if I can figure out how to get it delivered by Friday as they seem to be online only. Thank you for looking it up!

Re: Vegan Swiss Chocolate?

I missed this somehow in my first reading. They have a store that I can drive to and buy it. Looks fancy and Swiss and vegan. Perfect. Thank you!

Taucherli are also sold in many different stores around Zürich, pretty sure I saw it at Globus/Jelmoli. Not sure about the vegan option though.

Practically all dark chocolate/couverture.. whether you buy it from a confiserie or one of the retailers is by definition vegan.
The only ingredients in a good ( 60% cocoa solids plus) dark chocolate are cacao kernel, sugar, cacao butter and vanilla.
White and milk couvertures contain additionally skimmed and whole milk powders.
There are vegan ‘milk’ equivalents available but they are not legally allowed to be called milk chocolate..the term used is ‘vegan confectionery mass’
These generally contain in addition to cacao and sugar..rice syrup powder, coconut, vanilla, salt and emulsifier ( usually sunflower)
