Private Chef recommendations (Baar/Cham region)

Hello,

We were wondering if anyone has any personal recommendations for a private chef in the Baar/Zug/Cham/Knonau region please? For a small celebration in late September we’re looking for someone to cook/serve a meal for us & friends (max 8 folks) in our house. We’re aware of platforms like takeachef - just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or suggestions through their own experiences.

Thanks in advance!

I can definitely recommend Véronique: https://www.chez-veronique.com/

I know her personally and I was lucky to eat with her on many occasions. She's based in Zürich area, you can contact her and ask if Zug area is also ok.

Hello Massa

I'm an Australian-trained chef living in Thalwil and I could very easily help you out with catering for your event in September.

I have worked in many establishments from fine dining to cafe-style restaurants, hotels, and chef consultant.
We can talk if you would like more information?

Cass

Thanks Cass. We have a couple of names we have reached out to following recommendations & should know more after the weekend. I’ll PM you if they don’t lead anywhere as we don’t want to waste anyone’s time.

Hey Massa,
can you let us know what was your experience and who did you choose?
I also saw the platforms, but I am sure there are better options i.e. hidden gems.
Thus, following the thread and looking for recommendations -- ideally with website, photos, etc
Cheers

I had met one of the chefs here, Reto Stefania during a Zug kitchen/cooking demonstration with a combi steam oven 2 years ago. He's a dynamic, friendly, engaging, character who has worked, Zermatt, Maldives and in Asia at top resorts/restaurants etc. Don't know if he would do a private in-house job but worth it to reach out to this company.
I was thinking myself of reaching out to him to see if he would do a private event.
