| | Consistently bad quality in Migros
Over the several shopping trips to Migros, I had:
- Rotten onions
- Rotten garlic
- Rotten strawberries
Nothing like this in Coop, Denner or Manor ever.
Any thoughts?

Could be just a poorly run Migros branch. I've had good results.

Any thoughts? | | | | | What olygirl said: There are branches badly run. It changes when the manager changes. Seen it, worn the t-shirt .... I stopped visiting one of those for about two years, when I went back it was completely different.
As to the onions: I noticed that too. I had several that were rotten. But on the inside (earliest 3rd or 4th layer). That is a PITA! But I have to admit, just like for me, this was impossible for Migros to see/know. They were perfect on the outside, I blame the weather.

You should contact the Migros customer service. They are really helpful, try to solve problems and sometimes even offer a voucher..

Well, what I've noticed it all the frozen veggies and fruit in the fresh-veggie-fruit-department. And the craziest things, what the heck?!
The Zucchetti - okay. But the watermelons? And the fruits?
And to top it today: The Avocados??!! I thought they were meant to ripe on their way here? No wonder they're rock hard still (after defrosting before someone gets smart )
If I want this stuff frozen, I get it from the freezer. This I will definitely check out with Migros customer service when I got time and I'm in the mood. |

Zuccheti = Courgette | | | | |
Education doesn't come into it; Curley meant to write zucchini (no t), which is american-speak for courgette.
Zucchetti seems to be an italian software company.

you have to learn by experience which branch is bad and avoid it in the future. In general I don't buy, any discounted vegetables/fruits, they might be fine but most often they are already rotten inside or are going to within hours. I don't know how do they know when to discount them
I have 1 Mirgros and 2 Coop branches on my to avoid list.

| | Re: Consistently bad quality in Migros | Quote: | | | | | You are allowed to touch the veggies in a supermarket. If I want the best of the best I buy from the corner family grocer for twice the price of M&S, Waitrose, Migros, Coop. My daughter is well known at M&S and Waitrose for bringing bad stuff back and getting both a refund and new stuff. They did that for a bottle of wine I returned. I don't think Coop or Migros (who may be selling wine outside of their Denner stores once they can change their charter) do that.
You clearly never learned home economics in school. I have almost 500,000 Chase points, another 500,000 Amex points. And I have to figure out how to use them. Except the best use is for travel, and COVID has put an end to that. I'm still harried over getting back home to Switzerland. I assume they will honour my NHS QR app. And then returning? I have to go back: by driver licence will expire unless I get a doctor's note that I am still sane. And the doctor has to be from my own canton. I met him once: last time I had to renew the licence. I avoid doctors at all costs, although did get a PSA & MRI on the NHS a couple of months ago. I am told the doctor can give me the COVID test I need to return to the UK. But what do I know: at my age I just stay home. Except once or twice: I took my grandson to the ROH to see a ballet (8. y,o,: he liked it. But not so much when I took him back to see a modern opera).
Which reminds me: years ago I met a couple at GVA airport who said they go many times a year to London to see plays and opera and ballet: including the air fare and the hotel it's cheaper than Switzerland.
As I write this, he's watching a Chelsea match with my daughter. Because he has ASD he gets cheap tickets to anything, and the person accompanying him goes free. | | | | | What is the relation between your post and garlic, onions and strawberries?

Zucchetti seems to be an italian software company. | | | | | Actually I didn't, I was just lazy and wrote it the Swiss-German way. But you are correct in thinking that had I bothered to use the English term for it, I would have written zucchini. Courgettes do not even exist in my voccabulary. A little help for those who live only for a week or two in the German part of Switzerland.

Bring it back and ask for refund, complain so that maybe it gets better, otherwise shop elsewhere.
By the way zucchetti is a swiss german term.

Both's spelling follows Italian rules.

We use lots of French words in the U.K. and they use some of ours such as Le Weekend !
