Carrot beer (Aargau)

I was cleaning my home office during forum shutwdown and found an old newspaper with some news about a Briton brewing carrot beer in Muhen (Aargau).

Quote:

Jason O ' Doherty invented his own beer in the course of his training as a business economist, which surprisingly has never existed before: an Aargau carrot beer. It is no coincidence that the craft beer was created by a true Brit in the Suhrental.

Being this an English forum I ask, anyone has tried this concoction yet? If not, I'll I do it in the name of science and report back :msntongue:

Is he actually brewing carrots? Or is it more a carrrot alambic, analogously to Belgian fruit beers?

I'm not sure that fermenting carrots is a good idea.

mmmm, all the article tells:

I was quite surprised that there was still no carrot beer in Aargau, ”remembers the Briton. The father of two tinkered with the recipe and added carrots to the brew both during the boiling of the wort and during the subsequent fermentation.
If I understand well that's adding carrots when you warm up the malt to ~80C (boiling of the wort), and adding more carrots to the recipient where fermentation happens. Almost sure the carrot are just the flavor, no way to make a beer without grains.
