Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

I don't know if its the best but Istanbul Kebap with its logo exactly like Starbucks seemed like a funny place, at least give it a try, all kebab places here are nothing compared to the original ones anyway.

Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

I think the best kebab place in Geneva is Turquoise in Balexert. Try the iskender there.

Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

You will get the best and tastiest selection in Rue de Berne, in the heart of Paquis. Beyrouthe makes an unbelievable kebab but so do most of the others. Do not pass go, do not collect CHF 200, go straight to Rue de Berne!!!

Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

Thanks for the replies! I will be checking these places out, personally my favorite thus far is Planet Kebab in Plainpalais...this is the closest to real Turkish kebab that I have tasted in Geneva

Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

The best doner kebap I had in Geneva is in Istanbul 2, that is the one in rue de mont blanc. you should try the lamb. chicken and the mixed beef etc are derivatives for the european palate.

in general, none of these are custom prepared as far as i know. ideally, take the next flight to istanbul

Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

Hello All,

Am coming to Geneva for the car show this weekend.

Can you tell me if Amir Beyrouth is still at the corner of Rue de Berne and Rue des Alpes where it's been for many years? I'm dying to have a kebab there.

That is closed now I think. There is still the shawarma place opposite . Has anybody tried Ege in rue du cendrier ? It was recommended by a Turkish friend.

Oh No ! I'm so disappointed. Google Maps also shows the place closed and boarded up.

Where am I gonna get my authentic lebanese chicken kebab fix now in Geneva ???

Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

Try Les Saveurs du Liban in place de navigation, easy to reach from the station, if you take the train from the Car show.

I was told about a new restaurant called "Sofram" at www.sofram.ch in Geneva. I have not tried it though.

Re: Best Kebab in Geneva?

Beyrouth on rue de Berne is great, but if you are looking for more variety, another great place is the weirdly named Pizza Presto next to the Cannoniere bus stop at the corner of Grand Pre and Vermont.
