Culinary curiosity

Dried and salted moderlieschen (Leucaspius delineatus). One Russian fisherman gave me 1 kg of these fish. It is good when you drink beer or something that has a lot of percent %%%.
For me, better than crisp. At least they don't have E 302, E502, E 666, E 999 and so on.
I think this is very popular in Russia.

As I mentioned here there was a large amount of mashed potato in the fridge this morning.

So I had a go at making potato bread. Looks good, smells good... wonder how it will taste?

Nice pic, love this dish.

Topped with sliced red onions, green chilies, fresh coriander and a squeeze of lime. Yum!

it was all started when my son gave me a baking recipe book on Mother's Day 3 years ago.

☺️

it looks like too sweet to eat but trust me, you can have a big slice without a problem at all.

Chicken, ham and mushroom pie.

It's the first time I've ever made a pie from scratch, pastry and all. It turned out really nice. Totally encased in pastry, just the way I like it...

I made a large one and a small one in a ramequin.

the last thing I baked was my first attempt at making a cake and it was this chic one with a chic frosting. I watched you tube first !!

The last thing I made was Beef Cheek ragu with pasta. It was a gordon Ramsey recipe. I have made friends with the local farmer wife and she gets me 'special' cuts of meat when they take the animals to slaughter !!

Keema Biryani - spiced minced meat and basmati rice, perfumed with saffron and rose water.

It was absolutely fantastic! First time I have ever made it and it has become an instant favorite.

I adapted the recipe from http://saffronstreaks.com/recipes/keema-biryani/
