BBQ Beef Brisket (slow-cooked all day with homemade sauces) with Roast Potatoes (in REAL goose fat!). YUM!
Where did you find goose fat in Zurich? I've been going from store to store but couldn't :-(((

Re: Post photos of what you cook and bake in Switzerland

  1. Beef stew noodle soup. My mother said the beef looked too lean. I didn't know what kind of meat to buy here, so I just got the "ragout", and it turned out okay.
  2. Not a real dish because I just cooked up whatever I had on hand that had to be eaten. But it looked pretty, so I took a photo of it!

Those look great! Don't suppose you would mind posting a recipe, would you please?

EDIT: For the dumplings - can't stand bananas!

Fantastic cake. I can't believe you did this.

You must be a professional confectioner.

I'm still struggling to get the fondant over the cake

That's fantastic, Pather!
Your little girl is very lucky indeed.

Here are a few savoury dishes I've made here:

Curry pouches, Berlin potato soup, Chinese roast pork (siu yoke), lacy pancake (roti jala)
The lacy pancake looks very contemporary

Would you mind sharing your cream cheese frosting recipe? I have real issues getting it to set here. Not sure what the problem is though.

No, I'm not, I'm a Textile / fashion designer!! Would you beleive! Thanks, for the compliment.
Use a rolling pin when you pick the fondant up, and keep the cake as near as possible. My heart always starts to race when I lay the fondant over. I'm always afraid that I rolled it out too thin and too small!
