ONly small correction it was Paneer Tikka Masala and not Shahi Paneer.. though most of the Paneer dishes look quite similar :-) |

The Super Mario cake: - Bascially a chocolate cake baked in the football pitch cake pan; cover with chocolate buttercream. - Roll-out approx. 750g blue sugarpaste/roll-out icing - I coloured it with a little black paste food colouring, but only kneaded it in as far as getting a marbled night-sky effect. - The mario is modelled with sugarpaste - just as you would do with play-doh. I used a toothpick to help him stand (remove before giving to the kids ;) ) - The stars are just cut-outs of rolled-out sugarpaste in ready-to-use colours green, yellow, red and blue. - The white stars were fun. I mixed a little white food colour powder with some water. Took a (clean/new) toothbrush, dipped it into the "paint" and just flicked it all over the cake. I also had a template to try and make a milky way sort of curve. Of course, it helps if you have all the ingredients, colours and tools at hand. The main reason I started up my shop :D |
