Memories...... that looks great.

Once I spent Xmas at a friends place on the border of two ex USSR countries. The other two guests were from just over the border. The two wives were a little competitive in what should be eaten for the Christmas (Eve) meal so we ended up with two lots of everything. By the time I had a plate of the delicious borsch from each side of the border, one with little floating perogi, one without, I had little room for the two traditional main dishes, let alone the two desserts.....er three, because we had taken a plum pudding along.

Re: Post photos of what you cook and bake in Switzerland

Hi, have loved looking at everyone's cooking on here, these are a few of the things I have made since moving to Switzerland recently. Have to thank this forum for helping me figure out how to make cakes without my trusty self-raising flour

Lemon and Poppyseed Cakes
Carrot Cakes
Garlic and basil bread
Kanelsnegle - danish "snails"
Chicken fajitas

A few recent products of our tiny kitchen:

Baked doughnuts, lemon cookies (recognise those shapes, Crumbs?), Sauerkraut-cheese tart.

Ok I downloaded Evernote Food ... It's free... It's easy to use ... And now I "get" Evernote. It's kind of an organizing tool, and so far for organizing (and finding) recipes and recording photos of great meals, I think it's great. Not that I have ambitions to be organized on the recipe front ... But as its so easy, why not?

Thanks

Here you go, Oldhand. Adapt it to your taste (I used a store-bought pastry base):
