Food for thought - your last meal

Re-read John Grisham's The Chamber recently and for his last meal, the condemned man asked for a plate of Eskimo pies.

Made me wonder what I would choose for mine and it didnt take long for the answer to come to me. Of all the fine gourmet food this world has to offer, I chose this

What do you want yours to be, if the world was to end tomorrow?

Re: Food for thought - your last meal

If I was to be executed, I'd want a meal that takes a very long time to eat.

If the world were ending, at the moment I'd settle for a good newspaper-full of seaside fish and chips. My wife would probably be fighting you for the KFC!

Re: Food for thought - your last meal

ok, let me rephrase - you dont have to be executed. It can be armageddon, or North Korea about to launch a missile towards this direction....

It just has to be the last meal you'll ever eat in this life. Something that you'll eat and die a happy man/woman.

Re: Food for thought - your last meal

In-N-Out, a Southern California based hamburger chain, has many off-menu items. Personally, I'd go for the 4x4 - 4 slices of meat, and 4 slices of (I hope GG doesn't read this) american cheese, with raw onion and fresh cut french fries. I'd want to eat it on the Santa Monica peer at sunset.

You can order an In-N-Out burger however you like - here that was obviolusly taken to extreme...

Re: Food for thought - your last meal

This is sick! Where is the hash brown
Mine would be the zinger tower burger. With McDonalds fries

....and a pack of marlboro reds to finish (I haven't had so much as a puff in 2 years, but if you're about to die...)

Re: Food for thought - your last meal

I'd ask for a pizza from the pizzeria in France we went to on Saturday. The service is so slow you will have died of old age by the time your food arrives.

Cheers,
Nick

Top-notch sushi and sashimi.

Gotta hand it to the Japanese.

Re: Food for thought - your last meal

Can one also choose the plate? Say eating sushi off the body of a young virgin girl

Actually, I'd have bento box style Unagi on a bed of rice. My favorite dish.

A barf bag for my friend here, and I'll have an Appenzeller Fondue for one, please.
