Re:Favourite Beers & Where to Find them

i realize most the posters in this thread are NOT feldschlossen drinkers, but IN CASE you are, sihlcity in zurich has a feldschlossen promotion booth going on (i don't know for how much longer) with what looks like very good prices and if you spend over 13 chf you get a free beer glass with your name etched on it.

Re: Favourite Beers & Where to Find them

If I recall correctly between CHF 4 and 5. Roughly the same as at Drinks of the world.

Prices are similar but the selection of English beers is never that great and they don't have the variety that Drinks of the World has. Saying that, I enjoyed a couple of bottles of Courage Director's a month or so ago. Woman in the shop said she'd order more but so far nothing.

Drinks of the World has made a few changes to the British ales including 3 beers from Brew Dog (radical Scottish microbrewers), Bateman's XXXB and Wychwood's Goliath. All very nice beers in my opinion

If you are in Chur, try Tom's Beer Box in Untere Gasse in the old town. They have around 140 different bottled beers including several UK ones. These included Fullers, Shepherd Neame and Samuel Smith's when I was there.

Hi,

Les Brasseurs Lausanne have different special beer each month.

For exemple :

Eat with a flammekueche (alsacian speciality)

I'm feeling a little homesick... Does anyone know where I can find a cooper's green (Aussie beer)?
I know it's not the most amazing beer on the planet, but I don't expect to find decent Au microbrews here and all I've managed to find is VB (seriously, they export that crap?). If anyone can prove me wrong, Mountain Goat steam ale or Firefly would be brilliant...
Late response but, they sell it in The Outback restaurant at Stadelhofen too. Probably also at the one in Winterthur, and The Red Ochre in Uster.

I am not sure if it has been mentioned already, but Drinks of the World Zurich hauptbanhof sells Marston's Pedigree and Badger Champion Ale (no Tanglefoot, unfortunately)... enjoy!
