Brita Kettles [where to buy?]

Anyone seen a Brita Kettle on sale here in Switzerland? I saw one in Manor some months ago but they now seem to have completely vanished. Even across the border in France/Germany I can find no trace of one. I'm beginning to think they have been withdrawn from the market?

Re: Brita Kettles

Why have they been withdrawn? I have one I bought from Coop years ago. If they are not safe, then I'll stop using it. Or was it just not selling?

No idea, sorry

I just phoned Brita and asked why.

I also wanted one a few months ago and was slightly miffed I couldnt get one.
After reading the original post here ths morning I thought I'll call them !

I did, I asked why they'd been withdrawn but couldnt make any sense of the answer. . . . something about the partners they work with to produce the kettles.

Best

Re: Brita Kettles [where to buy?]

I too have done a bit of groundwork if anyone is interested. It seems that they are no longer available in France, Germany or Switzerland, (or indeed any country that doesn't traditionally drink a lot of tea) but are still available (and with a wider range) in the UK. Looks like you can order one from their UK website but not yet tried it (You have to register first)

I just saw that it is advertised in the Volg supermarket magazine now. It said it is available in store. www.brita.ch

I bought the Princess model in Coop Dietlikon before Xmas, it uses the new filters that don't need rinsing beforehand, although filtering it itself has come under scrutiny in ktipp.

Re: Brita Kettles [where to buy?]

I don't know about kettles but I've never had a problem buying Brita jugs. They even sell them in Migros, about three models, older types and more modern ones too.
