I follow the Hairy Bikers' recipe - they look nothing like supermarket ones but they don't last long in our house.

| | Re: Crumpets? | Quote: | | | | | Hello,
Does anyone know where one can get crumpets?
I got the cravings (well I had it for the last 7 years here but it just got serious ) and I read in this old thread they were sold at Carrefour in Mulhouse - is this still the case or is there anywhere else in the northwest Switzerland or across the border in Germany that sells them?
Thanks in advance! Attachment 131370 | | | | | I've got the in stock now in Zürich (or you can order online too) https://britishcheese.ch/shopback.ht...ons-crumpets-6 | This user would like to thank grumpygrapefruit for this useful post: | |

Although Brexit has put a temp hold on cheese exports, I did manage to get hold of a few packs of Crumpets on the black market. Only available at the Viadukt tonight and tomorrow (when they will sell out). Hope to get a regular supply again soon though.

This results in a firmer base with a pourus top able to be filled with a seemingly bottomless supply of butter and your condiment of choice (Honey, Jam, or more Aussie - Vegemite).
......spose you want to know what a Pikelet is now? http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/5757/pikelets | | | | | Crumpets and vegemite...? You fiend!
