Have been shopping around for my 30th birthday cake and since my hubby and I are of Italian background, well Im an Aussie/Italian, we decided to visit this "Italian Pasticceria" in Josefstrasse Zurich.

What you have to try, are the lobster tails (Coda di arogosta) and the Porcini mushroom shaped cakes with haselnut creme Yum Yum Yum!!!!!!!!

So here is the mammoth cake that I ordered. It was chocolate sponge with chocolate creme! One word....Huge!

Is there any place like this in Basel!!! - Maybe its better if there isn't!!! I am hoping for good gelato in Switzerland. I better get a bike as soon as I get there, and a gym membership.....

Caredda rules! It's pastry heaven. I like that they have miniature sizes of everything. Plus: The bread is really good too, I bought one with Dinkel and sort of a Ciabbata style one, for making bruschetta (the name of the bread was "Luusbueb"). It was fantastic!

i also try to buy one from that shop....according to my friends' feedback, it is not so tasty relating to the price(8 chf/person)....for me, i don't recommand it...
