Come Dine With Me

Ok, my girlfriend drives me mad. Our Sky+ box is full with episodes of Come Dine With Me, but it got me thinking, if I can't enjoy watching the rubbish with her, maybe I can copy the event...........I love cooking for friends and entertaining.

Just as an initial feeler, who would be interested in making some new friends, say another 4 people, 2 couples would be ideal. We could then take it in turns to cook, enjoy some time together, drink some wine etc

maybe we could throw the house keys in a pot at the end and swap....................ah, save that idea for later

Before you all shout and say no chance, I would never be able to find Aarburg, let alone my house.............we will soon be moving to Zurich.

No I don't think you are late, all the posts are for October 2010.

I agree with you about the TV programme. They must really look for people that can't cook and must get on TV!

.
My solution for a similar situation involves a notebook computer with large screen, non chick DVDs from Amazon & earphones

Re: Come Dine With Me

I used to do something similar with friends in Sydney.
The idea was someone was organising a simple meal.
Not necessary a big dinner, just something we all enjoyed.
The idea (after see each other of course) was not to cook for a day in the week.

One important point was we all leaving in the same area and could walk from one place to another.
An other point is it was always the same people. If People change all the time it could be possible to ask them to share the cost.
