Re: Bless them, the Americans get the coolest kitchen gadgets!!!

They've been around at least ten years.

We considered buying one when I worked shifts in a lab.

The GC oven was starting to get a bit stained - although we'd perfected the perfect temperature ramp for cooking a frozen pie.

I miss my old lab. GC for baking, water bath for boil in the bag and glycol bath for cooling pop - it was better than my kitchen.

Oooh, the yummy things that could be done with that!

Also, the "make ahead" timesaver type things that could be done with that... make it, freeze it, bring it to work and nuke it.

On the other hand, we had something similar to this when I was younger, it was pretty fantastic also.

Never was really into gadgets, my Mum was a confectioner and used her hands for just about eveything !!! She could make a fantastic meringue with a plate and a knife - who needs a mixer?

Having said that, just ordered a couple of hundred Francs worth of Betty Bossi stuff.
Anyone else love Betty??

Could be, at the time I was 15'ish and living in Hawaii, spending all my time swimming or cycling to get someplace to swim sooooo... my hips THEN were just fine.

(These days it would just add to an already existing problem )
