We'll know the decisions for 2018 and 2022 at 16:10, apparently.
And apparently the voting is still going on, so the decisions will be further delayed. Oh the tension ...

No, this is the first time they've done a two-for-the-price-of-one deal. And Seppo admits it was a mistake.

Indeed. As anyone whose birthday coincides with Christmas will confirm, he won't get nearly as much as from two separate dos

And that's a great shame, because it's a loss to all football-minded people around the world - well, not entirely all, of course.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Announcement

Does anyone else think that the reason they have combined these 2 bids into 1 event is so that Sepp can get a double payoff...knowing he wouldn't have been around for 2022 bid. (at least I hope he isn't) if he hadn't combined them.
I am seeing this as his pension pay off.

Am I cynical or is Joseph Sepp Bellend Blatter really as much of a crook as I think he is.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Announcement

Just had a look on BBC sport page - there's at least 3 journalists "blogging from Zurich" - why oh why do they need to send 3?

Glad I don't pay the licence fee

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Announcement

Blighty blew it - England lose bid on first round.

Russia obviously paid the most - that's why Putin didn't bother turning up...
