When it does not go Pak way then technology is bad lol Tracker does not care about doosra, teesra or googly. It sees the trajectory and where it was going after pitching. You lost fair and square today.

Catching is part of cricket. If your team can't catch then it is your incompetent team and nothing to do with luck.

I joined the forum to enjoy the win with my desi brothers. You seem to be burning mate.

Yeh I'm upset that Pakistan lost and I'm a terribly sore loser

But I prefer to deal with facts than just make stuff up.

"It looked as if it was the doosra and it would have gone on to hit the stumps but the ball-tracker said it was not not a doosra, that the ball held its line and would have gone on to miss leg stump." - Sunil Gavasker.

I never said technology is bad. But it is bad when it makes the wrong decision. And being dropped 4 times in one match is nothing but luck. It's your good luck that the opposition team has such piss poor fielding

Indeed, in fact I was very pleased with Afridi's presentation speech. I hope Butt gets fired and not Afridi and Waqar.
India should offer to tour Pakistan and initiate the process
That would be epic!

One thing I don't get about Pakistan is the bad fielding. They have ALWAYS been bad at fielding. So why don't they spend more time practicing fielding? Why don't they find a better wicket keeper than Kamran Akmal?

Let's see if Zaheer khan can get another 4 wickets and beat Afridi in the most wickets table.

Also isn't it great that 3 out of 4 of the semi finals teams are South Asian

At least you are honest

Funy you quoting Sunny when every Pakistani fan disregards his opinion normally. I am out to enjoy the win with my mates. Win or lose the final is irrelevant now that we knocked you out. Catch you later.

Chill I class Pakistanis as my brothers.

Also could this match have been the most watched international sporting event ever. Despite the loss I had a great day sitting in the office watching it

Funny how you make stuff on the fly! EVERY Pakistani fan? That's a big claim!

We can clearly see that from your "knocking out" comments

Anyhow, it was a good day for cricket, maybe not so good for Pakistan in the end

P.S. Mind you if Shoaib Akhtar was playing... a couple of Indian players would be in hospital right now

Afridi was heard saying in one of the internal Cricket Board meetings that his players are busy "checking our chics" hence the appauling fielding and dropped catches.

No, because it's cricket and easily two thirds of the world population do not care about it at all.

The by far most popular sport event is the football world cup final, followed by the olympic opening ceremonies...

http://www.cnn.com/2010/SPORT/footba...ion/index.html

I do not believe the FIFA when it comes to the numbers of viewers (or anything else really), but cricket is only played in former British colonies while futbol, "le foot" and Fussball works from the Americas over entire Africa and Europe to pretty much all parts of Asia. Combined it is bigger - much bigger.

But you're forgetting the huge Indian and Pakistani diaspora. I don't think you realise how popular cricket is in these countries, and then add on the millions worldwide glued to their TV and PC screens. Then there are those such as myself who are simply unbiased cricket fans.
I think they estimated this match was watched by 1.5 billion people worldwide

India Vs Sri Lanka Saturday ?

Right, I have found a new passion for cricket, who/what/where/when is the final. I saw the last over in the Nelson, Kloten but is there a bigger screen somewhere in the Zurich area, considering its Saturday morning somewhere light and airy would be perect.....anyone with a 50" tv hosting a home viewing lol ....

I suppose he (Allah) must have been with Zaheer, Munna and Yusuf Pathan. There are more than 200 million followers of Allah in India compared to about 170-180 million in the whole of Pak. Allah knows which followers need to be looked after.

Surely Allah would spite a team full of non-believers! Or maybe be glad that they integrate so well into society and don't force the non-believers in the team to convert (Mohammad Yousaf)

Why did I had the feeling this morning that this thread will soon go down "the religion way"...?
