Re: (Cricket World Cup) India-Pakistan [and other matches]
Coming back to yesterday's match - it wasn't a surface where one could have played "attractively". The initial estimate of 310-315 being for for the course had to be quickly adjusted to 260-275.
Fielding of course was a major difference between the two sides. However, in situations as tough as this, its the side which handles the pressure better, normally wins. The Indians did that very well yesterday in spite of the media frenzy, the fanatical home crowds and huge expectations around them.
In terms of cricketing talent the Indian team was far, far superior than the Pakistanis, man-for-man. I am stating this as a fact and not to demean the Pakistani players.

Thanks for your ubiased view. Winning by 29 runs hardly makes it far far superior, discounting for misfieldings dont think the Indian batting or bowling was that exceptional.
But its ok, you can talk. So what is the initial estimate against Sri Lanka then? Or will it be done on the day as the match progresses if not in hindsight?

Is cricketing talent even a measurable factor which can be quantified in order to be a fact?

Yes it is.
With Harbhajan saying "Win over Pakistan like a final" means He regards Paksitan as the best team in the tournament. Just that they won by chance or luck

I was quite surprised that he managed to say anything between calling black people monkeys and slapping his team mates in all honesty!
I dont quite understand why that lasse is getting her knickers in a twist either!
Me neither. I am active on cricket forums and we have been having so much fun for last few weeks with Pakistanis. Everyone ribbing each other.
I think Porsche is deeply deeply deeply hurt by the loss and trying to put a brave face but failing miserably. Reminds me of two Pakistani female fans on CNN who were saying that they absolutely hate India and that India did not deserve to win
I cannot imagine how losing in 5 world cups to India without beating them even once would feel if I was Pakistani. I can't make my mind which win I enjoyed the most. 1996 WC dismissal of loud mouth Sohail was up there

When did I say i was putting a brave face on and that I wasn't upset by the loss. Of course I am upset. A bit of playful banter such as the post I'm quoting from you is quite fun.
But your post about shoaib akhtar and liposuction wasn't.

Atleast Pakistanis have enough guts to do their boasts and gloats before the match and face the tune after rather than like Indians who only decide after the game, whether to gloat or put a brave face, shake their head sideways and give an extra teethy smile and congratulate.
You set up a duplicate account just to do the ribbing in here, you did'nt have the guts to do it with your reguler account, did you?

Still burning I see. How a fan of one of the most dishonest team in World cricket would dare to dish out dirt is beyond me. Let me see
- murder of poor coach
- systematic ball tampering for years
- pitch tampering
- super corrupt home umpires
- super corrupt players
- players man handling each other or not even speaking to each other
Should I add more? I think it would be better for you if you go back to acting all Scottish as you are going bit too green with envy.
