Re: UEFA Euro Cup 2012

I just recently switched to Blick - starts up quicker than Zattoo, and also you get high def - where available - for free. SF2 and BBC1 look great on the new iPad No ITV yet though (they are on Zattoo though IIRC).

Also Blick 'record' the last 3o days, so you can catch up on anything you missed.

Actually considering this comes from Blick, I'm surprised it's so good going by their evening paper!

Lastly, great little tournament, very entertaining on the whole.

Summer Olympics, then a long wait until World Cup :P
Also, 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil and Eurobasket in Slovenia next year.

Things are getting very interesting. After 2 matchdays, Netherlands with 0 points and Italy with 2. Looks like there will be great interest in all group matches on the final matchday.

So, if Spain and Croatia draw 2-2, Italy are left out of the competition. Anybody seeing history repeating itself? (EURO 2004)

Yes, I see that Italy once again believes it should somehow naturally stay in the competition... you can only do so if you win games, celebrating a draw against Spain as if it was a win does not work when it comes to points and tables. If they have to go home should they blame nobody else but themselves for the draw against Croatia. They had plenty of excellent chances and did not score the second goal. End of story.

It's not a grammatical error as such, just an old tradition that is now dying out.

Nice article here about it:

It is a grammatical error. An old "tradition" which is not based on any grammar rules cannot be claimed to be correct by usage!

Wrong it may well be, but in German it is "DIE Ukraine" and "DIE Schweiz" and "DIE Türkei" and "DER Maghreb" and "DER Libanon" and "DIE Philippinen" (the Philippines / the Philippine Islands) --- and it is rather more articles in French. So that I cannot quite see what makes your heart bleeding.

Re: UEFA Euro Cup 2012

Well, another championship is over. Great team we have (many may not agree, but it is one of the gretest teams in football history) congratulations to myself and the rest of my spanish fellow citizens! Nice to have a couple of days of happyness and joy in such difficult times for the country. :-)

Now, as del Bosque said, we need to be ready for the defeat, as it will come and learn from it.
