Well McLaren has announced his squad for what has become a fixture which is simultaneously irrelevant, and a must win for England.

Glad to see Beckham back, now hopefully he will drop the average SWP.

Yup. Must confess to being lost by who "Shorey" might or might not be, I'm too idle to Google for him though. I think he must be "the emergency centre half" being drafted in because of Rio and JT's absences, but surely there's someone capable ahead of some bloke from Reading who I've never heard of?

Re: England squad announced

are they going to play Rooney at left back again so that we can give Austria a penalty too?

And I love the news on the BBC site:
Quote:
If Russia win in Israel and Croatia avoid defeat in Macedonia on 17 November, England cannot qualify even if they beat Croatia four days later.
what about Andorra playing Russia the following Wednesday?

Reading player - left back, can actually defend. Should have played in Russia instead of the abysmal Lescott. McClown you are truly a tactical muppet.

Re: England squad announced

So let me get this right - he's therefore picked 4 left backs??

Phil Neville - Shorey - Cole - Bridge.

Thats very generous of you, I'd say 2.5 between the lot of em...has Bridge played this year?, is Phil Neville a footballer, can Cashley Cole ever reproduce his pre-humungous paypacket Arsenal form?

I need to become less negative about the England team
Edit: Sorry used the word team..meant muppets.
