Steve Gerrard and the culture of blame

I'm a huge Steve Me fan.. and a lifelong LFC supporter.. but this made me hoot.. .. everything wrong is always someone else's fault

(from today's Guardian)

"I don't look at stats too much," Gerrard said, "unless it's clear, time and time again, that something's sticking out so obviously." On this occasion, he admitted, it was plain. "It's one of the biggest points the management and coaching staff will have to look into. They have to analyse why we aren't keeping the ball better."

So.. being a shambling bunch of over rated, desperately mediocre footballers has nothing to do with it...

I ink that's what he may have been hinting at but the England captain isn't going to put it like that!

Re: Steve Gerrard and the culture of blame

Well for starters Steve G was by far Englands best player at the Euros - by miles. When that is said there are way to much dead wood in the England team and most of that dead wood came from ManUtd.... perhaps I am biased being a life long LFC supporter as well....

It wasn't the lack of will that sent England out - it was a lack of ability... simply not good enough. Exactly like what sent my Danish boys out - not good enough. However seing Spain and Germany play the way they do as a collective team spiced up with individual performances.... pigs will fly before the likes of Denmark, Greece and England ever win that tournament....

At least the Liverpool players can now go on holiday and return to pre-season on July 9th resten and ready for the new season.
