Brian Cookson new President of UCI!

First off I would like to say goodbye and good riddance to that corrupt sleazeball Pat McQuaid. No one has damaged the sport more than this douchebag. Now to the real news.
Someone who actually rides and is passionate about cycling has been elected the new President of UCI, effective immediately.
I have never heard of Brian Cookson (former head of BC) before but I have heard of all the great things that the BC (British Cycling) have done for our sport, not just for roadies but for MTB as well. Building sustainable multi-user trail centers, breaking down the exclusivity of bike races and making them more of everymans sport (because that's whats cycling is) and getting the youth involved by organizing races for kids all the way down to 3 years old. In other words, he has made cycling something for everyone with an emphasis on being family friendly.
I love this guy already. He rides a MTB AND he actually attends MTB races, unlike Pat McAss. So far the MTB industry is buzzing with excitement with Mr. Cooksons election. Will we actually see UCI events in places where MTB sales out number anywhere else in the world? Places like California, Colorado and British Columbia? I sure hope so, I think it will happen based off of this interview.
