There is no next match for England in this World Cup.*

*i.e. (for the subtlety-challenged) England did this to themselves.

Well, there is the dead rubber Afghanistan match where England can save some face, although it's always a possibility they'll just fall flat on it again.

Got to love the ECB's philosophy. Appoint a coach who's had one bite a the cherry and proved himself not to be up to the job. And bar your best player from playing.

Would be hilarious of KP was brought back. Don't think it will happen but hilarious nonetheless.

True, so in fact the team that did this to England will indeed last (in this World Cup) only till the next match.

I am not from England but I really think that the runout
at the end was not out. The shoulder of the bat was touching
the ground behind the line.

England have been awful throughout; there can be no complaints about the odd 50/50 decision that hasn't gone our way.
Well done to Bangladesh - better on the day and wanted it more.

I think the pools look great. I am an Aussie you see...

NZ on top. Great, we give them false hope and then put them in their place by blowing them away later on.

England. Hehe (your bankers make enough money laudering money so you cannot have it all, sorry).

India. Looking good.

bangladesh. Well they beat England so they are the good guys.

Get glasses. English batsmen are always out in close calls... Poetic justice you see.

Thats called manipulating the odds. We allow, ourselves to be beaten and when it counts we hit em out of the park.

I think you are allowing conflicting bias to influence your decision making process. I certainly am...

Is all water off a duck's back, old bean. Many of us will remember the dark days of the late 80s and 90s where England lurched from one disaster to the next. The middle-order collapse forms an important part of the national character along with the drizzle and over-cooked vegetables

Still - the French won the football world cup in 1998 without Cantona. Maybe the England selectors thought they could do equally as well without their own "difficult" character. Good call guys!
