Wait till Torres scores a screamer in the second half.. he'll need more than tranquilizers...

This is why I live a sport-free life....

I really don't care what a bunch of stranger millionaires in shorts do with the ball on a field.

Looks like we are in the same boat try living with a man who is normally charming, easy going, laid back and intelligent. When Liverpool are playing, It's almost schizophrenic. By the way the language changes too, when Zürich are playing I've heard words and phrases that I've never heard before in the German language, I cringe when it's Liverpool because I think bloody hell he must have got that from somewhere!

Look on the bright side of life

As an ex Leeds United supporter, who as a young teenager saw them getting beaten time and again by Liverpool, you start taking an interest in a proper game - Rugby.

Much better on the nerves

Re: 1-0 and the blood pressure is rising

Wasn't this typical European football? (Remember the Bayern-Getafe match?)

Last minute scoring. (Poor Riise. If it wasn't an own goal, it would've been a marvy one. Ah, Chelsea needed a hand -- or a head, at least a nicely cut red one.)

In Malaysia, this seldom happens (I mean last-minute scoring).
If they don't score in the first 80 minutes. Too hot and humid to last that long, heh, and not so much fighting spirit.

The score was 1-1, but Liverpool (Riise) scored an own-goal, trying to defend, in the final seconds of the game.

This kinda puts Liverpool on the back foot when they play the return match at Chelsea next week. Which is a shame, because Chelsea didn't deserve the result, despite their occassional good play; it was Liverpool's game.

(...and Drogba's a crybaby)

Re: 1-0 and the blood pressure is rising

I am still devastated. Liverpool played very well and deserved to win 2-0. Great saves by Czech and rare missed opps by Torres.

Gonna be tough next week in London.

And my Calgary Flames got knocked out of the Stanley Cup playoffs, so not a good night all around for me.

Cracking commentary from the ITV team last night on Drogba, who spent as much time on the floor as he did with the ball:

"Amazing! He has the fastest recovery rate in the Northern Hemisphere..."

He's a good player. And a massive crybaby

Re: 1-0 and the blood pressure is rising

This actually puts the tie in a very interesting position. More so than 1-0, I think.

Chelsea have an away goal - but a goal from Liverpool would change the balance of the tie. Should Chelsea decide to defend their away-goal-lead then they could come unstuck.

I predict 1-1 next week with Liverpool winning on penalties. It's the only way
