| | Any MMA/UFC fans?
I'm very much looking forward to UFC 200. I think it has one of the best cards ever.
I'll be rooting for Jones, Lesnar, Aldo, Valasquez and Tate.
On a different note: Is there any significant fan following for MMA here? I would love to watch UFC 200 in a sports bar with fellow followers of the sport. (I guess the timings are a bit uncooperative though.)

I am not sure if lesnar has a chance, Hunt has such a compact frame pretty hard to take him down. But I agree 200 card looks solid will break payper view records for sure

I agree. Hunt is more experienced, coming off victories and is incredibly durable (the bigfoot silva fight! yikes).
But he is boring and can't promote fights. I guess I'm hoping Lesnar gets the win, eventually takes a couple of more fights and gets the belt. The heavyweight division easily has the most boring promoters right now.

What a shame. Jon Jones failed a drug test. He is out of the card, I hope they bring in Gustafsson.

Same!
I think UFC 205 has the greatest card thus far. Everyone single fight is epic.

He won't retire yet, now that he's beaten Diaz.

The retire claim is to legally be able to fight outside UFC, then he will come back. Like many that "Retired" and are now fighting in Japan or back in the UFC. Also makes it possible to renegotiate contracts.

MMA fan late to the party here ...
That retirement talk by Conor is just a leverage/media play, same as his boxing license. He can't legally fight outside the UFC if he's under contract with them. There's a clause that prevents the fighters from competing in any other combat sport, including boxing. That's not to say that some organization in Japan might not care and sign him anyway if it were an option, but it won't be. As far as renegotiating contracts, that can be done at any time.

Indeed, I am quite looking forward to that. It looks like both of them will have 100 mil + paydays. As for selling the fight though, so far it has been all McGregor. Mayweather got completely outclassed. In ring though, I'm expecting it to be quite the opposite.

The only swiss UFC fighter, Volkan Oezdemir, is now about to fight! He is fighting a Dagestani fighter calleed Magomed Ankalaev who is a rising star and known for being very brutal.
Wish Volkan luck, he's going to need to bring his A-game.
PS: I use Mulhad VPN connected to the Netherlands + the website kijk.nl to watch UFC. Works like a charm.
EDIT - Ok Volkan lost pretty badly but at least he wasn't KO'd. Crappy performance though.

You like to make things complicated then. MMA not my thing but any live uk soccer, wc boxing or F1... https://footybite.cc/ and follow the links, no VPN needed. Have a Nuc plugged into the TV running Plex, barely watch broadcast TV these days

Those streaming links are full of crappy pop ups, advertising and dodgy cookies and even using adblockers (which I do) I would never use them. VPN + kijk.nl is the best for MMA fans. Fact.
