Swiss football chant?

Hey soccer/football fans -
Anyone know what the lyrics are to the chant the Swiss are repeating, over and over and over and over again?
Thanks,
JBean

Re: Swiss football chant?

You know, the one that repeats...

"ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ"

.....over and over again, then there is some garbled up stuff in the middle I haven't deciphered.

It really sounds to me something like the hook to "Oh My Darlin', Clementine". The part, "Thou art lost and gone forever, oh my darlin, Clementine".

Re: Swiss football chant?

I think it's:

Alleeeez... Allez Allez Allez. Schwiizer Nati, Schwiizer Nati, Schwiizer Nati, Allez Allez.

Oder?

I would say that was a very successful chant
"Go, go, go, Swiss National Team" - well, they've gone.
Perhaps they should change the words...

Re: Swiss football chant?

Thanks RyanValdez & Longbyt! Mystery solved. You'd think after hearing it until 2 in the morning I would have figured it out. They'd probably still be singing it now if they had actually won.

PlantHead - you might not be completely mistaken, there could be a few people that are actually singing the lyrics you suggested

Re: Swiss football chant?

The only one you need to know is..

F Say Bey, F Say Bey, F Say Bey!!! (one for the Zurich viewers out there!)

Hopp Schwiiz is the other one or "Go Switzerland!"

I'll give them it's original

Re: Swiss football chant?

I noticed that either the Austrian fans or Polish fans were singing the Allez, Allez thing. But they weren't singing Allez to it...
