Interesting. All the single race days are on a Saturday except for the Zurich one which is a Sunday. Hope they've got their dates right.

Yeah, I know. We watch the series which is usually much more exciting than F1.
Maybe they think more people will turn up on a Sunday or maybe it's easier to close the required roads then.

Mostly because they rather choose some city parkour instead of proper race tracks. Just ask any F1 driver what they think of the Singapore GP track
The most exciting races are the ones like Le Mans where wildely different prototypes compete... too bad that the major manufacturers (except of the French) pulled out of it in favour to spend big bugs on formula e instead: Because those city parkours might not make that great race tracks, but they are great places to stick ad money into...

Well, if you compare with F1 street tracks like Monaco, etc, it is more exciting. I'd like to see them race on proper tracks though too. See what they're made of in a real race setting so to speak and I also think it would be safer in a lot of ways, especially if their speeds get higher as engine performance improves.
Next Formula E race is on Saturday next btw - Marrakesh.

Well, this explains why I couldn't find the first race of the new season. https://www.bbc.com/sport/motorsport/46191581
"Ali Russell, media and business development director at Formula E, said it was "imperative" the racing series remained on a free-to-air network in a "key" market for the sport.
Sorry man, but I don't call showing it on i-Player, a website or behind the red button being a "key market", especially when they've done f**k all to advertise it. Wouldn't have known about it at all if I hadn't been reading something on the Beeb's website and seen a link for Formula E which then took me to another link. But hey, don't let it interfere with all those crap programmes the Beeb show during the day at weekends.
Guess Eurosport wins this one hands down. |

Has anyone found a channel to watch the Formula E this year? 5Spike in the UK used to have it (English or German language would be fine)

Eurosport 2 has been showing it live with Eurosport 1 doing highlights from this weekend's race. Quest also has highlights, not sure if they're showing any of it live.

Bit of a bummer how the race started and had such a long red flag. Otherwise it was kind of interesting to watch and also to google and learn about fanboost and attack zone and whatnot.

Well, won't be seeing much of it this season if Eurosport don't show it. BBC covering, but most of the races only online. https://www.bbc.com/sport/motorsport/50410978 |
