Yep. They often have the games live on ORF from Austria. Mostly just the playoff games IIRC. IF you can get NASN it's the best coverage of the NFL, though. It's cheaper with cablecom, with the media recorder included, than if you purchase it from satellite.

There is another pay channel that has had it in the past, teleclub, but it'll be in German.
NASN have exclusive rights during the regular season for all of Europe excluding the UK and Scandanavia. You can usually catch the AFC/NFC Championships and Super Bowl on ORF, etc. Teleclub carry the Premiere signal but no more NFL on those channels.

Re: EF Fantasy Football (NFL) League, any interest?

Hey all,
I'm trying to sign up at yahoo for the league, but it keeps telling me this game is not registered in this league. Could anyone provide a link to where the league is in case I have something wrong? Thanks for the help.

Try this one. You'll want to join an existing league where you'll enter the following details:

League ID: 400901
Password: browns

Thanks, I forgot the last 0 in the user id--silly me. I appreciate the help anyways and the "fighting artichokes" are now ready to compete for the title. What is the situation with our draft?

Over the past few years, ORF1 has also shown 4-5 regular season games a year in German/English. I just checked their schedule at http://tv.orf.at and saw they have the following listed:
  • Fri 05-Sep 0:55 NEW YORK GIANTS - WASHINGTON REDSKINS
  • Tue 09-Sep 1:10 GREEN BAY PACKERS - MINNESOTA VIKINGS
  • Tue 09-Sep 4:15 OAKLAND RAIDERS VS DENVER BRONCOS

I hope that doesn't already blow their four game "budget"!

If we can get 2 or 4 more (including you), we can expand the league. (It's better for scheduling if we can get 4 more.)

If anyone else is interested in joining, please make yourself known on this thread so we can track this and expand the league if possible.

I'm lobbying another EF user to join. He had a question as to when the league was starting.

When is the draft? And will it be a online live draft or live in person draft?

Re: EF Fantasy Football (NFL) League, any interest?

The league size has been edited, dakman. An uneven amount of teams is fine. We're not playing for money or anything, so strength of schedule shouldn't anger too many people!

Everyone please look over the rules (copied from the league I do with my brothers) and tell me what needs to be changed, if anything.

Regarding the draft, we can do it any way, depending on what is the most convenient for the most people. We could have a group meet at a bar with a computer to accomodate those who will do the draft online. I personally won't be in Switzerland until August 31st. We could also do the whole draft online or just set our draft orders and do an autodraft, the least fun alternative.

I think we'll just have to discuss a time that would be most convienient for drafting online. For me it would best be an evening sometime. I'll be offline most of this coming weekend but I don't think we'll be drafting that early.

http://www.nfl.com/gamepass

By the way, here is the link to get streamed NFL games, all of them, I think they doubled the price though from last year but seems you get in high definition also. It was pretty good last year, get the local announcers too usually

Actually the price is a little lower than last year. I think you're confusing it with "Fieldpass" which is the radio version of streaming games. With Fieldpass you can choose the announcing team. With "Gamepass" you get the Fox/CBS/ESPN national coverage.

I'm intrigued about the quality this year on the demo but I'm not quite sure how they'll handle that when the games are live and presumably thousands are tuned in. I'll probably stick to watch what NASN has on.

You'll also find that NASN often shows replays of other games that they didn't show live. Might not terribly interesting if you're not a big fan of either team, but still gives you additional viewing options.

No I definitely only paid USD 99 last year (90% sure) for the TV streaming version. perhaps they dropped the price closer to the start of the season.. you can choose whichever games you want, I usually switched between games depending on what game was closest or based on my FF team player.

I meant announcers who do the national games, not the radio announcers.-

I'm 99.9% sure that was a join after midseason price. Unfortunately it's part of my job to know these things
