American Football Playoffs?

Anyone elated as I was to see New England lose to the Tennessee Titans in the wildcard playoff game?

I am not a Tom Brady nor Belichick fan; go Titans! And for that matter, go Eagles

Okay...so let's put this in UK footie terms.. New England Patriots are analogous to Manchester United and substitute Wayne Rooney as the architect of the offense (back in the day) to the much heralded New England Quarterback, Tom Brady.

The Tennessee Titans are perhaps more akin to Everton or Arsenal. Oh and I should note that the Patriots/Brady struggled this year.,

As for the Philadelphia Eagles - well, they look more like Fulham on a mediocre day this evening - ughh!! (note that injuries did not help!)

Re: American Football Playoffs?

Well ...
Isn’t New England a group of states, while Tennessee is a single state? And both play in a specific city, despite representing a region/state?

I think I know what a playoff is, but are they really necessary? Shouldn’t the team with the best scores go through?

Wildcard, I know, is a poker term meaning that a card can change its value, in certain circumstances. How this relates to a football game is a mystery.
