Yesterday there was the DH world championship in Leogang in Austria. Challenging weather conditions including rain, snow, 5°C,mud and slippery tree roots, lots of them. Camille Balanche overcame the grueling conditions, avoided a crash and won the race. More details here

Ironically the commentary from ride.ch is that the track is not representative of the sport when this is downhill: you ride down no matter what. Hard to believe an MTB publication worries about mud, tires only get clogged if you don't keep them spinning
