Either this or a "Parmo" , deep fried chicken coated in Béchamel sauce and melted cheese and served with chips. Warning - only consume if you want to be the same BMI as a typical English football supporter.

Re: Euro 2020

I was expecting more goals from England, they were clearly the better team, but that was not a penalty. VAR seems to be a joke!

I think Italy will lose as Foden's Chav hair cut will scare them

hmm, the foul leading to the freekick that lead to the Danish goal shouldn't have been given and Harry Kane should have been a clear penalty before Sterlings was given.

Its swings and roundabouts

England! Our daughter requested pizza tonight to celebrate Italy's win last night. Open for recipes for English food for tomorrow. I am scared.
Why? If you want to be a badass parent tell her you'll make her a sandwich!

But on a more serious note, fish and chips are yummy, kids love this. It shouldn't be that difficult to find something very similar.

England was the better team and should have won by default. However, that penalty never was and shining a laser at the Danish goalkeeper was disgraceful as was booing the Danish national anthem. The English don't have the best reputation in the world and this doesn't help.

And Denmark were fouling constantly. Ultimately, the (significantly) better team won.

Completely agree about the booing of the DK anthem, a real disgrace, especially at home and the fact that Danes couldn't travel to make up greater numbers.

What a load of shite, Kane, Sterling and Grealish went to ground with nearly every challenge, weak as piss. I used to respect the England team, not anymore.

I‘m all for friendly rivalry between the supporters of different teams .

But that laser thing and the booing were deeply unsporting .

There is no excuse whatsoever and I believe there should be consequences .

I agree. It’s really unpleasant and make one ashamed to be British.

Belgianmum, I agree it leaves a very bad taste. That green Lazar light shone in the face of Danish Goal Keeper Schmeichel.

I hope in future there will be protocols in place to catch anyone who does that.

No idea with much filming whether it was able to trace back to where it came from and possible the person responsible.

I have little sympathy for the Danes regarding the penalty as you have to look at the decision in the context of the match. Specifically England were putting Denmark under sustained pressure and the Danes were largely stuck in their own half ceding possession and territory and looking content to play for extra time and penalties.

This is the ultimate test for your defenders and big part of that is being inch perfect in your defence to avoid any risk of a soft penalty. The best way to mitigate this risk is to play better football, get off the back foot and relieve the pressure.

On balance England were the better side and deserved their victory (and as mentioned upthread its swings and roundabouts, the Danish goal came from a dodgy freekick and Kane should have had a penalty)

Denmark: 1 goal
England: 1 Danish own goal, 1 dodgy penalty
And you think England deserved to win?

Yes, England deserved to win as they were the better team on the night. Regarding the own goal, its still a goal! Sterling was waiting to put that away had the defender not scored?

Kane wasn't awarded a clear penalty earlier, and what about the dodgy freekick leading to the Danish goal?

swings and roundabouts, that's what happens in football.

Re: Euro 2020

I also think England were the stronger team. Doesn't change anything for me about the penalty that never was. (There was a second ball on the pitch also, so the game should have been stopped). Anyway, toothless UEFA just hit England with three charges and I believe one pending.

Re: Euro 2020

If England were that much better on the night then they wouldn't need to dive for penalties to win the game.

A wins a win but it was a terrible decision which decided the game.
