Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

France vs Namibia: minute 65, 82 to 3. I expected a fun game, not this.

@ Brian: I did say you were going to face a really rough game. You guys DID deserve to win, but it was not easy.

At least they managed to score SOME points, not like certain other teams.

Appalling rugby from Ireland tonight. No qualifiers, simply appallingly poor rugby. No excuses. Shocking shocking shocking rugby.

Seconded...very disappointing...

Looks like Samoa think they can get something out of this England game.

I liked the band playing Nena's 99 red balloons just before half time -
"Worry, worry, super scurry" . Very appropriate at the time .

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

Just back from Nantes watching the England - Samoa game. Not as many Samoans around as last World Cup, but a great craic. Nantes seemed like a great little town too.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

Yay ... my boys are through off of a nail biter against the Azzuri, but a win is a win.

Good luck to the bog trotters against the Pumas today, tough task ahead, personally I think the Pumas will come out on top. Apparently you are going to get a huge amount from the French fans today ... now why would that be ... ??

Can you handle the truth ... Nick Mallets predictions ...

Frankly, would like to think that my lads can hold Argentina by less than 10 points & maybe sneak a cheeky win ....

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

I have high hopes we will play Scotland like we played Ireland and we will maintain our edge over them. We beat Scotland in every game for the last 6 or 7 years (all of the games in Scotland), and since the last game 2 or 3 years ago Los Pumas have improved a lot. The only thing that could go wrong is that Felipe Contepomi has come down with a flu, and might not be able to play.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

would be happier if Hernandez trips over his shoelaces & suffers concussion.

was a great game against the boggies, we need to move the ball quickly at the breakdowns, as your pack was awesome.

Who is this Natasha you speak of? I clearly missed something... And if I have met said Natasha and forgotten her name, I am dreadfully sorry, I'm rubbish with names.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

Sadly I missed that epic night on account of having to finish "The Nuer - A description of the modes of livelihood and political institutions of a Nilotic people". Rivetting stuff. Mostly about cattle.

I hope this shall be compensated on Saturday.
