Surely those horns are against IRB regulations?
Maybe we should ask the Scots whether we can borrow their cattle.

| | Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general] Quick question.... is anybody going out to watch the RWC final in a bar or pub in Zürich? If so I'd love to join. Watching at home would surely not be the same atmosphere I'm seeing a lot of support for those bokke but I'll be yelling for England!!!! Not sure where it's on though? Any ideas? |

emmag it will be on in at least 4 bars near the city centre- Paddy Reillys on Sihlstrasse (Trams 2 and 9), The Lion (near the Bally shop on Bahnhofstrasse), The Oliver Twist on Rindmarkt, just off the Niederdorfstrasse and in The Nelson, which is near to Globus on Bahnhofstrasse.
I expect that all four of these pubs will be packed to the gills- with both England fans and South Africans.

9pm i think. I might go to either the Lion or the Nelson. Apparantly paddys had people pressed against the outside windows last sat... I would suggest getting in early though.

I will be in Paddys to watch the game if anyone wants to come over and say hello. I will be the good-looking one under the clock-tower wearing the carnation.

Pretty much the same, similar dispersed screen, bad beer, and dodgy clientele

The Twist has a teli on the terrace....

The Twist can have a Party-On-The-Patio for all I care. That ranks as the pub/bar I like least in Zürich, and hence does not get my vote

No Guinness on draught, there. I prefer Paddy's. Might see someone there ?

The Lady Hamilton is the Zurich Rugby Club's sponsor and have shown every single game of the world cup. And it's where I am watching the game tonight, so yes, there is some very dodgy clientele. COME ON ENGLAND, I FEEL LIKE VENISON STEAK TONIGHT! | Quote: | | | | | The semifinals were only shown upstairs from the Nelson , i.e. the Lady Hamilton on a large screen. That maybe the same today.
