Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

Don't know if anyone else saw it, but just a few seconds after the final kick, they went to a shot of the chap engraving the trophy. Either he's really quick, or he'd already reckond SA had won as he's managed to write 'SOUTH AF-' less than ten seconds after the finish...

A pisser as ever when your country loses, but not a match to be ashamed of. Not like it was 36-0 or anything...

Exactly. Also, please, please do something to the rules to stop the damn kicking. Definitely not a great game and I am not saying that because I'm a sorry loser, it was just terrible.

Congrats RSA -- you were by far the best team in the tournament and deserved the win. Thanks for the entertainment.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

That just proves it was a try because the foot is not even touching the line.

England were the moral victors.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

oh yeah, England joins ireland and wales in the pantheon of great moral victors

by the way, England lost by 9 points. Give them a try and a conversion it still doesn't make a difference: SA WINS.

disgraceful in defeat as usual.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

Crossing the line is what the game is all about, not penalties.

I nevertheless congratulate the Bokkes. They did win.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 [in general]

I wouldn't say disgraceful, no, but then some are too much of a loser to tell that they've won, even if it wasn't in style. What do I know about rugby, after all, I only used to play it...

Ok, so NOW it's alright to complain about the kicking now that it's gone against England. Sheesh

Anyways, congrats to the Springboks - clearly the best team during this tournament.

It's Sunday morning, so no vacuuming, washing or shouting allowed?

Or it could I suppose be an anti-troll measure...

Not at all, just because I haven't voiced it in here doesn't mean it's not an opinion I've held for quite some time. It's just so boring seeing a ball being kicked back and forth and really pathetic that not a single (given) try was scored in the final of a rugby world cup.
