Can you spot the Bayern trend?

Ok so Bayern play Manchester away and Rafael gets sent off in the 50th minute after two yellow cards. Bayern progress.

Bayern play Lyon away and Cris gets sent off in the 60th minute after two yellow cards. Bayern progress.

If in the Final one of the opposition defenders gets sent off at the 70th I will definetly start thinking that something fishy is going on

Both of Rafael's cards were legitimate. Cris' first one is debatable but the second one was a nonissue. It seems Bayern is putting enough pressure on their opponents causing them to make mistakes.

Re: Can you spot the Bayern trend?

To be fair Man U were going at it hammer and tongs. I'm not surprised about the sending off. I am surprised cards weren't used sooner. Roben and Ribbery were having chunks kicked out of them.

Didn't see last night's sending off, so can't comment.

(And no, I am not a Man U fan, although I did want them to win)

Well I wouldn't say that Manchester were really under huge pressure in their home game, on the contrary before the sending off I would have said that they had the game under control.

indeed they did, but obviously a player of Ribery's calibre was too much for a (relatively) inexpierienced wingback to handle.

Re: Can you spot the Bayern trend?

Rafael should've been replaced by Ferguson after the first yellow card, you really can't blame the referee for Rafael's inexperience. Ferguson should have protected him.
