Today's Swiss loss was unfortunate for all of us who were so happy to be cheering last week.

I'm happy Chile and Brazil are the first in their groups and I still believe Chile will beat Spain, Viva Chile Conchetumareeee!!! and I hope Switzerland still qualifies in 2nd, the petty will be that they will take Brazil, but that's life

I used the word you when I should have used one. If one (ie. the press) wants to whinge about the world being against them and about those cheating diving latinos , then they shouldn't ignore the even worse dive by one of their own otherwise they lose any credibility.
Totally agree. Two pretty awful swiss dives in that game.

I'm taking Wednesday afternoon off to see the England game at the Razzia in Zurich Seefeld. If anyone wants to join, either just turn up or reply in thread. I asked about reserving the red leather sofas, but we need a group of 15 for that... we'll see.

Will all French players turn up today? Really some of these players are such spoilt brats.

I really can't stand this idiot!

For those who support 'underdawgs' this is Daniele de Rossie diving in his first game against Paraguay. Same DIVER who robbed New Zealand of a truly classic victory. Pathetic.

I hope they turn up, just so they can get beaten by South Africa. That would be a win-win scenario for everyone, especially Ireland. I really feel for those guys at the moment - but its karma. Good one Thiery you dirty cheating bastard.

I feel sorry for Capello with a bunch of lazy players like the English.

Have you noticed how the English players pass the ball to another player far too early; probably because they are scared and prefer someone else in their team to loose possession of the ball.

The goal was offside, the replay clearly showed that, it was very minimal but still offside. basta!

I see the French are still on strike

Will they bother to saunter out for the second half? Is it worth it if they do?
