I thought it had not been on purpose, he meant to kick the ball...still kicking that high is an illegal move and yes it was disgraceful.

Maybe it's hard to be sure, but when I saw how quickly he left the field without fighting the call, and the look on his face as he did so, my impression was that he knew he was completely in the wrong, and was getting out asap for the benefit of his teammates.

Maybe it's just coz my neighbours haven't figured out how to play them properly or is that the sound they're supposed to make?

On Sunday evening in the local open-air pub, there were maybe 2 of us out of the hundred some crowd who found a pleasure in blowing vuvuzelas during the most interesting parts of the final match. The last day of the WC2010 had to be celebrated with truly SA's stadium spirit. Most of the bystanders didn't have ones and it's a pity to witnessed such a dullness.
I will miss vuvuzelas badly!!!

I don't mind during the matches but it's afterwards...
In Vevey they're allowed to drive round beeping their horn and blowing the vuvuzelas for up to an hour after the game but it tends to be a lot longer than that. So if you're trying to have a discussion on a terrace with someone - usually about the game - an hour after it's ended, then you can't actually hear yourself think.
That's what I won't miss...
God I sound old...

Diego Benaglio along with the rest of the Swiss pulled together an effort that beat the winners of the 2010 World Cup. Hopp Schwiiz!!

Are you referring to that game six months ago? Or did they do it again?
If the former, I'm guessing this ranks up there (in global history terms) with the Allied victories in WWI&II, and Caesar's subjugation of the known world.
And in other breaking news, New Zealand remains undefeated in the 2010 World Cup ...
