Italy a goal down at half time They will still win it but I would like Paraguay to win just because they are underdogs.

Grghh... would help if id have stayed awake. Woke up on cough on the 92nd minute. I saw the Panamenananenian goal though before I dozed. Off to bed I go...

Quite boring game - sorry Italy, but try better next time. Looks like some old men playing some footie and they only realize after 45 minutes that they are on the pitch. Surely not looking very likely to defend their title at the moment.

What a bunch of woosey wimps these footballers are of today.
They seem to be unable to play games for all kinds of physical disabilities.
Maybe I am getting old; but I don't remember anything like this in the 80's.

And athletes do get their physical problems. Gone are the days I remember when guys with skinny legs and hair dos played professional football after downing several pints.

same here!!! darn! france and italy are a big disappointment, as ever.
my bet was italy goes down 0:1.
@PlantHead: regarding SWP...i found he did some good offense. 2-3 balls heskey n slowpard have missed he crossed in...rooney was a big miss. i couldnt see him anywhere close to make some attacking attempts?
tbh i wonder what barzil is going to play like. to me its a team of no-names with 2-3 highlighted players.

I'll be watching the Swiss-Spain one and actually cheering for the Swiss, however I feel like they'll lose this one miserably. But hey..... you never know.
In the end, it doesn't matter! The ball is round, a game is 90-odd minutes and Germany wins
Simples. | | | | | you are trying to irritate us, aren't you?

If the germans are already this arrogant after beating Australia what would it be if they won it? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foot...10/8740637.stm |

Ignore it, his real axe to grind is over foreign players in teams. He would like a limit put on the number of foreign players per team, like the old days.
He is just using the worldcup as an excuse to air his views again.
A few months ago he was praising Rooney as the best player in the world, now he is suddenly a clogger because Der Kaiser wants to grind a different axe.
