Best race of the season. Webber was an f'ing beast. Can't believe the drive from him.
And of course my boy Hammy |

Now THAT was a motor race! What a wonderful set of moves from Hamilton.
And what a comeback from Webber.

Why didn't we play blobbies game this week | | | | | Because only you and I bothered. We have the new game now.
That was a great race. What about Webber 18th to 3rd. Superb.
At last a decent showing from my Schumi
The 3 stop strategy certainly paid off for those that used it.
Loved Button stopping in the wrong box. he he

Time to hit the Red button...

The new regulations have certainly made the racing more exciting. Much more overtaking and it was unpredictable to the end.
My only reservation is that it is putting the emphasis on the team and strategy rather than the driver. There could be too much technology rather than skill with DRS, KERS and the new tyres.
I think Mark Webber summed it up well when he said that it may be better to avoid qualification and save some tyres for the race.
Clearly those who got the strategy right gained most today.

Hammy is the King, suberb drive. Shame Button missed out on 3rd position.

The race also goes to Hamilton's mechanics -2 minutes before the race?
Who did Coulthard accuse of being a cunning linguist? I'd just like to know for future reference

Definitely the best race for a long time.
Great drives by Hamilton and Webber. And good to see them congratulate each other in Parc Fermé.
I'd pretty much written Webber off. Everything that could go wrong seemed to happen to him.
Bit of a chuckle provided by Button. I wonder what Vettel was thinking as he followed him into his pit.
Di Resta looked promising during the race but faded away. Pity, but I think we'll see more of him in the future.
I wonder if Torro Rosso will get fined for Alguersuari's wheel going sight-seeing.

Having tyres that artificially degrade makes it somewhat unpredictable towards the end. I don't think a sport where you should be using technology to your advantage should finish like this. It seems wrong, just like the idea that was discussed (in the off-season?) about sprinkler systems.
Sure a sport needs to be entertaining, but not, IMO, through "tricks".

Something which Lewis Hamilton is notoriously bad at. He's improved this which tells me that he's not just a good driver but a great one.
Just IMO

That Webber joked it would be better to not bother qualifying to save the tyres just speaks volumes. If the tyres and associated tactics can have that much influence on the outcome, what is the role of the drivers nowadays? I watched th last 15 laps or so and is was blindingly obvious that Hamilton was going to track down Vettel eventually. Where is the unpredictability?

Its a sad fact that any series where the car's are equal falls flat on its arse, people just don't want to watch it.
F1 hasn't been a sport for many many years (if ever), its a business.
Looking after your tyres is all part of racing anyway, in years gone by the tyres just lasted longer and the overheads for changing them where greater, no 4 second pit stops then. Maybe they should bring back 4 bolts per wheel, and only 1 person per wheel etc to make sure pit stops really give you a disadvantage.

Not that I'm a fan, but I understand that they have all the same basic components, and it is up to the teams and driver to make the difference... a novel concept, I'm sure
Also, the teams aren't all the same are they. Look at the whole split diffuser thing last season or this year's exhaust muck-up by McLaren... I do feel that Ecclestone is just trying to fix something that isn't broke by trying to put in steps that actually move the sport backwards, ironically enough, rather than forwards.
