| | Re: The 2011 Formula One Championship | Quote: | | | | | Nascar followers would disagree, oder? Not that I'm a fan, but I understand that they have all the same basic components, and it is up to the teams and driver to make the difference... a novel concept, I'm sure
Also, the teams aren't all the same are they. Look at the whole split diffuser thing last season or this year's exhaust muck-up by McLaren... I do feel that Ecclestone is just trying to fix something that isn't broke by trying to put in steps that actually move the sport backwards, ironically enough, rather than forwards. | | | | |
if teams are allowed to take the cars away, then all cars are most definitely not the same nascar is also not a sport! its about as artificial as a race can be, why they bother with so many laps is beyond me, why not just have a 10 lap sprint and be done with it.

Let's hope the teams have closed up on RBR, and Massa now has the confidence to stay ahead of his teammate.

So McLaren didn't fill the need to participate in the 1st Free Practice although Button went out a few seconds before the end of the session and Hammy did make it to the pit lane...and stalled..
Lot's of spinning and Vettel planted it into the fence early on. Going out on Inters in the pouring rain
Alonso was top with 138.670 then Rosberg and Schumi

Guess McLaren didn't want to risk smashing thier cars up (like Vettel did) not a lot could be gained by running in the wet with the weekend due to be dry. Plus they only have a very limited number of wet and inter tyres....
Hamilton had a clutch problem.
Only a few hours till the next race |

This season is just a race for second place. Vettel has this covered.

The best way to make F1 competitive would be to either ban Adrian Newey or make him work for hispania.
