Just did a test and this only seems to work in browsers based on Mozilla (Firefox, Camino, Seamonkey). None of the webkit based browsers (Safari, Chrome) do this, nor does Opera.
Can't comment on Malware Explorer though.

Mine doesn't blink or move, but I'm still quite proud of it.

Actually my personal favorite avatar on this forum is a moving one. Love it! | | | | | That one IS super cute. I think maybe I'll change mine to my teddy monster after all... maybe, no? yes? no? argh!

I like the ones that are animated - it's the flashing ones that make me tired. So I just move on to the next post so I don't have to look at blinking mania.

We should got back to the thread asking everyone to put their real picture as an avatar... that was so long ago, eh? Oh, the memories...
I remember when I first joined someone had a picture of a strange guy with a bandana on his head. I thought it was his real picture until someone told me it was a strange B celeb from the Bourbine region.

Only very few of you folks ever noticed that one of the former pictures of my humble self was animated:
I think this cannot be called flashing or manic. Blinking? Ok, maybe a little bit.

Aren't flashing and blinking avatars heralding arrival of festive season? Afterwards they can effectively be banned |
