Re: Flashing, blinking and manic avatars

Since so many peoples' avatars don't actually look like them, I decided to go for one that is a genuine likeness (to someone).

The illustration is way to old to be Albert. It's got to be king Alfred, of course.

Re: Flashing, blinking and manic avatars

Not an avatar, but may be amusing to some of you (especially if you have music playing in the background).

Well darls, mine is me, from my famous days. Now no-body recognises me anymore, so its a sort of disguise for the real me.

I guess if the picture were bigger we might recognize you. It's like teeny tiny.

Re: Flashing, blinking and manic avatars

I actually received bad rep because someone decided my avatar was annoying. From that day on I vowed to keep it forever.

I like annoying.

Some people get annoyed by flashing avatars, others by boozing people on the train. Accept what you can't change.

Actually my personal favorite avatar on this forum is a moving one. Love it!
Yes I like that one too.

Your avatar is not at all annoying. It's cute. Some of the ones I hate are the grotesque ones that don't even move. There is with this guy with rotten teeth... ew!

That is so last year.

Use a web browser that supports plugins. Install an advert blocking plugin. Use it to block the annoying avatars. If the avatar changes, it is not blocked.

I first used the technique on JamesK.

You even thanked the person who wrote this one.
