How come my profile photo doesnt appear?

Hi hi

I'm new to the Forum, so still trying to figure some stuff.

I notice my profile picture doesnt seem to appear next to my username when I post/reply a thread.

May I ask how do u get your profile pic to appear?

I've already uploaded the photo under the control panel of my profile.

You can have two pictures associated with your account: an avatar and a profile picture. The profile picture shows up when somebody clicks on your profile, the avatar is displayed next to your posts.

Also check that it doesn't exceed the size/type limits in Settings

Another question, I've been navigating for the past 15min to start a new thread. But where is the 'new thread' button?

Why, thank you! To set your own avatar, go back to the "Control panel", and on the left side under the heading "Settings & Options", choose "Edit Avatar." You can pick from a number of pre-loaded avatar images or upload your own.
